I Built a Binaural Panner from Scratch Using AI — No Coding Required

In this video, I take a look at Amorph, a brand-new and completely free plugin that lets creators build their own audio tools using generative AI. Amorph works like an empty canvas — you describe what you want, a large language model writes the code, and the plugin compiles it into a fully functional effect or virtual instrument. No coding experience required. To put it to the test, I use it to create something I've wanted for a long time: a binaural panner with adjustable interaural time difference, a feature that's surprisingly rare in existing plugins.

The results are genuinely impressive. The plugin compiled successfully on the first attempt, and I was even able to refine the controls by going back to Claude with follow-up instructions. While the interface is currently limited to simple knobs and the plugin isn't multi-channel capable yet, this is a fantastic example of where generative AI can truly add value to the creative process — empowering non-technical audio professionals to develop their own custom tools, entirely for free, and even without relying on a commercial AI service.
